All Black Party Decorating Ideas
The Black and White party isn't really specific to a particular holiday or theme, but is all about a color scheme. Have your guests dress in black and white. Use black and white décor. Serve black and white drinks. When everything is color coordinated like this, you'll be amazed at how great your party will look. (I also usually throw in some metallic silver or gold to add some sparkle).

Cover your tables with black and white table cloths* to make them all look the same.
When using an all-over color theme like this one, covering everything with those colors pulls the entire room together.
Party Decorations – Walls
Silver and black metallic curtains* cover windows and act as a backdrop on walls.
Large white candelabras* add light and are tall enough to be table centerpieces while still allowing people to see each other.
Party Decorations – Ceilings
More stars, and more sparkle are added by hanging black strips with dangling silver stars* from the ceiling.
Installing small white Christmas lights between the strips causes the light to be reflected by the stars.
The strips are 12″ wide and have wooden dowels at each end that can be hung over hooks or a drapery rod to span the ceiling. The twinkle lights are draped between each of the strips, using the same hooks/drapery rod as the strips.
Party Decorations – More Ceilings
Alternatively, you can drape black fabric* across the ceiling to add interest…it's a little less dramatic (which may be what you are looking for) but also less work than hanging the ceiling strips. Just install hooks at the center point of the ceiling and at the corner points where the fabric is draped, and loop the fabric over it.
A mirror ball* adds sparkle.
Party Decorations – Accessories
White ostrich feathers* in Eiffel tower vases* and lighted white sprays are a contrast to the black.

Hang mini-silver mirror balls* and tea light candles in terrarium candle holders* from the chandelier for a center piece that literally floats in air. You may want to use flame-less tea lights to prevent the thread from getting too hot and breaking. In this case, the 6″ round candle holders were big enough that the heat from the candle was not strong enough to break the strings.
Black and white is an easy theme to decorate for since there are so many items that come in these colors (plates, napkins, candles, table cloths, etc.). If you want to add a twist to the theme, you can also add a splash of color (such as lime green or neon pink) or use zebra print as the basis for your black and white.
Black and White Party Food
Since I did my Black and White party as a New Year's Eve party later in the evening, I did desserts but no real food (and Black and white food is hard to find!)
I did find this zebra stripe bowtie pasta* which would make a great black and white pasta dish!
