When I purchase my JD filters on sale in the winter they are not likewise much different in price than buying Wix or the Napa which are as well Wix. This does have planning and having several dollars of filters on hand but it pays for itself simply having them when you need them. I as well do a Wix filter society for other stuff from Fleetfilter.

Locally the Deere filters are cheaper then Baldwin or the NAPA Golden filters during the NAPA filter sale. Went with all deere or Fleet Guard filters this year.

Edit: that was at Kibble Equipment.

I've been using Wix, only I watched a video from a Kubota dealership a while back and they cut open the a Kubota filter and each of the three grades of Napa or wix. The cans we're the same size, but all three of the Napa/wix filters had less filtering media, and if I remember right the OEM filter was cheaper than at least one or two perchance all of the others. For several years i was buying Baldwin filters at the freightliner truck dealership ...I saved money over JD , CaseIH, Cat, Skytrak, Versatile ect ....Then Harrison Truck Eye buys the dealership... the savings ended.... boakfarms

I've think I've used everything jd, wix, Napa, automobile quest, armada baby-sit, kralinator, luber finer. I take automotive store brings annihilation here three times mean solar day if I need to for terminal 25 years so whatsoever there selling what we use unless there more than money. They come up in and make me chart off all trucks and tractors and numbers so that for me is worth it. dmax2001

Subsequently a trouble with Baldwin oil and fuel filters leaking several years ago, I will only utilize JD filters. Sure they might toll a little more but how expensive is what you are protecting with them? roush9799

Aforementioned here, was pricing some of the not deere filters at Napa during their auction, could get them in fleetgaurd or Deere cheaper from the Deere dealer.

Been working for the county here since 95 mechanic the beginning 21 yrs we employ simply Wix filters, never lost an engine, trans or had system due to a filter failure. There is i 140H cat grader with over xv,000 hours on information technology and has never been touched. Wix filters must be pretty good.

I wish JD sold oil filters at walmart. I simply bought a fleetguard (oem dodge) filter for my 5.9 cummins for $12.95 on the shelf. span tender

But wondering in what metropolis the JD filter factory is located also wondering if it is located adjacent door to the battery factory or the oil refinery??

I am on the Napa/Wix filter program, not every filter is only every bit a general rule wix/napa filters run me well-nigh one/2 of John Deere, and just so you all know NO single filter manufacture makes EVERY filter all mix and match brands/paint colors on filters, like someone said above have you ever heard of an engine/manual failure that can be traced dorsum to the filter?? If so delight let me know about it crusade I never have.

Lack of proper filtration over time tin can obviously cause failures from worn parts that you cannot directly trace back to the filter. Mitchco

I can tell you about ii Volvo A40D trucks that went through $twoscore,000 in hydraulic repairs due to using NAPA filters. NAPA filters were put in by a mechanic at a sister visitor that did not follow mother company rules. NAPAs "its the same size, so information technology crosses" attitude, caused the filters to ingest themselves into the oil trashing the hydraulic organisation.

I used to sell wix and having been using them over twenty plus year and cypher problems with them. We had aforementioned samples of iv-5 different filters cut open up. Wix was past far the best looking filter, so it depends on who is doing the comparing. We got the filter from wix supplier do similar I said yous can arrive await whatever mode you want. Super 65

Virtually 4 yrs ago we got a new shop forman, he came from CAT he thought the Wix filters were not as practiced every bit CAT filters want to change over to CAT simply later on a year of cutting every filter we took off autonomously he nevertheless buys the Wix filters MrFixIt

About of the Deere filters are made by Donaldson. The d with a dot in the middle is the Donaldson logo next to the Deere function number. A lot of the fuel filters are proprietary to the manufacturer of the fuel system and are made by them and simply rebranded for many different boxes. Stanadyne is known for this. Their filters show upward in Deere, CNH, fleetgard, wix/napa boxes equally well as others. The big companies-fleetgard, Donaldson, wix, Baldwin-all brand good stuff, and have there products in all sorts of markets and environments. If there was a major trouble, we'd know about it.
